  • Preview key vocabulary with students.

1. Discussion – Using the maps below, preview the size of the region and discuss the states included in each region. Then click over to the population density map and discuss how the regions are alike and different. The World Book Online has many types of maps available for comparisons

2. Students will watch a video for each region.

3. Students will complete the Frayer Graphic Organizer of the region during the video. They are to record what the Land, Climate, Resources, and Economy are like. After video the, review together as a class and compile into a group chart on a wiki page. (Example)
